A Decade of Change: The Evolution of Denver’s Cannabis Market
In the over ten years since Colorado became the first state to legalize recreational cannabis, Denver’s cannabis industry has undergone significant transformations. From shifting laws
2020 has been nothing short of a year to remember. So many trials and turbulence of a long 365 days that many would much rather forget. None the less during the last three months, the cannabis community came together to help us give back. It’s recap time.
October, with its autumn colors and falling leaves, brought us not only the first signs of the coming winter but also 2020’s Best of Pueblo awards for Medical and Recreational Cannabis Dispensary. Our recreational marijuana dispensary brought home a 2nd place finish while our medical dispensary brought home the gold for a 1st place finish. 2020 also marks the third year in a row where we finished in the top 3 in both categories as “Best of Pueblo.”
Our November Food Drive was nothing short of phenomenal. Our annual food drives usually bring in a couple of hundred pounds of food but not this year. The Colorado cannabis community showed up this year with an outstanding showing. We were able to make a very substantial donation to The Pueblo Cooperative Care Center. In total, the community donations equaled 1700 pounds of non-perishable food items and pushed a folding table right to its limits.
Our annual Coat Drive kicked off the month of December. The community did not disappoint. Hundreds of jackets, gloves, scarves, and other warm clothing poured into our outlets and donated to the Pueblo Cooperative Care Center… and the table faired much better.
Together, we can make a difference… and you did. You helped feed families in need. You helped put clothing on children. You came out and supported each other. You dug deep and contributed greatly to the welfare of our communities. Somewhere, someone’s loved one is eating a warm meal and wearing warm clothes thanks to the cannabis community. Words cannot describe how grateful we are for everyone’s contributions and support.
Thank you, Cannabis Community.
